About Us
We created Home Based Co-Living to bridge the gap between you and your dream life. Whether that means building a balanced, fulfilling lifestyle as a digital nomad or exploring a new country with confidence and connection, we’re here to make it happen.
The reality of remote work and long-term travel isn’t always as glamorous as it seems. Many nomads find themselves constantly on the move, feeling disconnected, and struggling to build real relationships. For those who’ve never lived abroad, the fear of stepping into the unknown can be overwhelming. That’s where we come in.
Home Based is more than just a place to stay—it’s a community-driven experience designed to help you integrate into a new culture, build lasting friendships, and truly feel at home wherever you go.
This isn’t about hopping from one tourist attraction to the next. It’s about living like a local, immersing yourself in the culture, and creating a lifestyle that blends work, adventure, and personal growth. We believe in slow travel, deep connections, and meaningful experiences—the kind that don’t just fill your passport, but also enrich your life.
At Home Based, you’ll find a supportive community that helps you navigate new places with ease. Whether it’s language immersion, cultural exchanges, group adventures, or creative collaborations, each experience is designed to make sure you belong from day one.
Whether you’re dancing in Medellín, practicing yoga in Tulum, or learning a new language in Rio, Home Based Co-Living is your space to live, work, and explore—together.
MEET YOUR HOST
Hi, I'm Lanna!
When I first left America five years ago, I was in search of a new country I could call home. I traveled for years—living in places for months at a time—falling in love with each one as I made my way from Europe down through Latin America.
But somewhere along the journey, I realized that home isn’t a place.
It’s a feeling.
It’s presence.
And it’s wherever you are, fully yourself.
That’s when Home Based came to life.
Whether I was hiking solo through the mountains of Colombia, learning Spanish and finding peace in nature, healing through yoga and temezcals in Tulum, or waking up at 7 a.m. to surf in Brazil before dancing samba in the streets till sunrise—I felt completely at home. Because I was fully me.
Home Based Co-Living was created from that feeling.
I know how beautiful (and sometimes isolating) solo travel can be—and I wanted to build a space where people could live abroad and feel both free and connected. A place where you can do the work you love, explore somewhere new, and grow alongside people who are on the same path.
Whether you’re a seasoned nomad or just starting out, you deserve a place to land, recharge, and feel inspired. Each Home Based experience is built to bring that to life—blending work, play, and purpose, all in one unforgettable month.
I can’t wait to welcome you into this global family. Let’s live, work, and explore—together.
